Make the most of 48 hours in Santa Marta with this express guide: what to visit, where to eat and how to get around on an electric bike.

Only have 2 days in Santa Marta? Do not worry. With this 48-hour itinerary you will see the best of the city without stress and at your own pace.
Day 1: Arrival and Historic Center (afternoon)
You arrive in Santa Marta and the first thing is to check in. Look for accommodation in the Historic Center or near Parque de los Novios, so everything is within walking distance or a short electric bike ride away.
The afternoon is perfect for touring the Center: the Cathedral, Bolivar Square and San Francisco Church. Every corner has history and color. Go up to the Viewpoint to see the city from above.
Dinner at the International Marina: seafood, Caribbean breeze and a sunset you will never forget. Order a cocktail and enjoy.
Day 2: Morning at the beach, afternoon of history
Start early. On an electric bike you quickly reach El Rodadero. Take a dip, walk along the shore and have breakfast with fresh juice and a chicken pastry by the sea.
At noon, if you have time, cross to Taganga or Bahía Concha. If you prefer something more relaxed, stay at Rodadero and have lunch at one of its restaurants.
The afternoon is for history. Return to the Center and visit the Gold Museum and the Customs House. Before leaving, take one last electric bike ride along the boardwalk. Santa Marta says goodbye with a breeze that leaves you wanting to come back.
